SIY Love In Action
Pandemi Covid-19 merupakan bencana kemanusiaan yang memukul banyak pihak. Pihak yang berada di garis depan pada penanganan pandemi ini adalah tenaga medis. Dilandasi oleh rasa empati dan solidaritas sesama, Komite Sekolah Indonesia Yangon melaksanakan program SIY “Love in Action” yang bertujuan memberikan dukungan moral dan material kepada kepada para pasien, dokter, suster dan relawan di Pusat Karantina Aung Myint Mo, South Dagon Township, Yangon Myanmar. Pusat karantina ini menampung hampir 3000 pasien positif Covid-19. Tentunya diperlukan sumber daya yang besar untuk mencukupi kebutuhan pasien sejumlah tersebut selama masa karantina. Guna membantu pemenuhan kebutuhan tersebut, kegiatan SIY Love in Action ini menyalurkan bantuan dari para sponsor, donatur pribadi. Selain dukungan material, dukungan moral juga sangat mereka butuhkan saat ini. Oleh karenanya, para siswa SIY dan IISY membuat kartu-kartu ucapan untuk memberikan semangat ke pada para pasien, tenaga medis dan relawan.
